Adam Van Zalinge and his family moved from Salt Lake City, Utah to Pennsylvania back in 2014 where they chose Blackhawk School District because of the recognition of its academic excellence. Adam and his wife are parents of a current Blackhawk student and another who will be entering Kindergarten sooner than they are ready for!
With a career in Information Technology, he’s had responsibilities that range from web development & information security, to business continuity planning, budget management and more. He is currently a Senior Voice Engineer for Heritage Valley Health System.
Adam’s vision is to build a robust STEAM program and ensure that the spaces throughout the district are conducive to learning. He’s known for his charitability and runs a program called Beaver County Backpacks, supplying backpacks and other school supplies to those in need throughout the county.
Adam is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the superintendent and other board members to plan for the future of Blackhawk!
