A 1992 graduate of Blackhawk High School, Ryan Wissner has built an impressive career while remaining deeply connected to the community that shaped him. After earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Health Sciences and Occupational Therapy from Duquesne University, he went on to complete an MBA at Robert Morris University. Ryan began his career as an Occupational Therapist at Heritage Valley Health System and later served as Rehab Services Business Manager for an orthopedic group. He now works as a Regional Director for FOX Rehabilitation, where he continues to advocate for high-quality, patient-centered care.
Ryan and his wife, Holly, are proud parents of three Blackhawk graduates, all currently pursuing degrees at various universities. During their childhood years, Ryan was actively involved in coaching soccer, football, baseball, and basketball, contributing to several Chippewa Township programs. He also serves on the boards of Cornerstone Recovery & Support and the Chippewa United Methodist Church Board of Trustees, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to community service.
In July 2024, Ryan was honored to be appointed to the Blackhawk School Board on an interim basis. Dedicated to supporting administrators, educators, and staff, he is passionate about ensuring that every student receives the best possible education. Through his leadership and commitment, Ryan looks forward to helping Blackhawk students gain the skills and knowledge they need for success in their future endeavors.
